Xtro 1982 | Horror Movie Review

I’ve heard about this movie for years. People talk it up so much. I hope that it will live up to the hype.

I have had the experience with both Cannibal Holocaust and The Human Centipede of people amping these movies up to be OMG, so crazy, you can’t handle it! Then when I watch them I’m like that was alright, but come on they’re not that crazy.

The little boy can make things manifest, so he makes a Mick Jagger little person clown to entertain himself and makes his army guy toy life sized and sends it to kill his neighbor.

Then a bunch of weird stuff happens, that I won’t spoil. Suffice it to say this was a delightfully strange little movie.

I really enjoyed the practical effects. They did makeup, some animatronics or more than likely,  puppetry.

The eggs were particularly impressive. If you’ve seen Xtro, you know what I mean.

I was not disappointed. I still can’t believe that I am just now seeing this for the first time. I would have loved this if I saw it back in the day.

Comments are welcome. I love to hear what you think, but racist, homophobic, or sexist comments will be deleted. It's not that kind of party.
